Mobycator of Sweden has launched a media publishing system for Nokia S60 mobile phones.
The system, called Mobypal, allows S60 users to immediately publish and store photos and videos on the Internet.
Mobypal is a free application which can record photos and videos directly, and store the material on the Mobypal server. Photos and videos take with the phones built in camera/video recorder can also be stored.
The material can then be kept private as a back-up, or published on Mobypal.com, where it can be viewed by other users.
The videos and photos are uploaded to the server via WLAN, 3G or Edge at the original resolution. There is no need to reduce the quality of the media in order to publish it on the site.
A Mobypal Face book plug-in is also available which allows users to categorise photos or videos as ’blog’ when uploaded. They will then by redirected to the user’s Face book account, allowing a video blog to be created free of charge.
A Java version of Mobypal is also available which is adapted to other phone brands. Although this version does not have the camera functions, it does provide the on-line storing and publishing service.
The Mobypal application can be downloaded at www.mobypal.com.
