The finalists in the First Annual TelcoTV Vision Awards have been announced and one of the contenders in the “Service Provider Innovation” category is QuickPlay Media.

They have been placed on the shortlist for their innovative work on “Rogers Vision” which is a completely integrated mobile video and radio service, the first time that this has been offered in Canada.

The nomination recognises the company’s innovations in streaming video and audio via broadband.

The “Rogers Vision” installation and service offers Video on Demand as well as Radio on Demand facilities.

Both of these options can be reached via the use of a single user interface which incorporates numerous customisable Web 2.0 features.

The winners of the Telco TV Awards will be announced at the TelcoTV08 Conference & Expo on November 12th.
