Unused Package Deals Wasting Up to £20 Per Month
According to Omio.com price comparison website, many mobile phone users are just wasting their hard earned cash by paying for both text and talk time that they don’t use.

The problem arises from packages of talk and text time purchased by customers that are subsequently not used.

In the UK there are over 30 million mobile phone customers who take advantage of monthly package deals, but according to Omio many of these deals are not so good for the users who waste millions each year with the wrong tariffs.

The company’s survey points to up to 47% of mobile package buyers use less than half of the minutes they purchase, which in fact doubles the cost of making a call.

Surprisingly, according to the survey 82% of package buyers come “nowhere near” using up the minutes they pay for each month.

Of all respondents 28% had an unlimited text facility in their package.

Omio is saying that if many users were to change from unlimited packages to a regular tariff they could save several hundred pounds in un-used time in a set package deal.

The company claims that large numbers of users could save £15 - £20 per month over packages with large unused amounts of text and voice packages.
