Cost and reception issues for iPhone

Apple’s iPhone, which has been highly successful in the US, has had a less successful launch in the UK.
iPhone users are experiencing poor signal and reception problems in the UK, where the phone is available exclusively on the network of O2, Apple’s service provider.
Complaints about poor reception have been appearing on Apple’s own discussion forum since 11 November, and similar discussions also appear on O2’s customer forums.
The £269 price tag also seems to be putting UK consumers off the device. A survey by GfK NOP found that the cost of the device deters 75% of Britons from buying the phone.
Only two per cent of those surveyed said they would put the iPhone on their Christmas list.
