LG Electronics demonstrated its innovative spirit throughout 2008 with a number of world firsts.

The company announced the world’s first phone with built-in Bluetooth headset in June, and both the world’s thinnest 8-megapixel camera phone and the world’s first touchscreen 8-megapixel camera phone in September.

It is now ending the year with a bang with the announcement of the world’s first watch-shaped mobile video phone – a gadget that will have James Bond fans queuing up to buy one.

The nifty device features a 1.43-inch colour touchscreen and a video camera, making video conferencing a likely option.

There is also a built in speaker so you can listen to MP3 music tracks, and the device can recognise voices and transform text to speech.

The GD910 phone will be demonstrated at the International CES in Las Vegas, which runs from January 8-11 2009.

It will initially be available in Korea, but looks set to come to Europe before too long.
