Odyssey Telecommunications International Inc.did launch their own satellite phones. I didn't read the entire article (I'm at work right now) so there might be a line there somewhere that says I'm wrong, but as far as I've understood, Odyssey did launch a satellite phone.

Also, to show Odyssey Telecommunications' work on "satellite phone" technology, here are other links:

Why in the world do you mention Odyssey in the same sentence as Iridium and Globalstar? Odyssey never even launched one satellite.

Bravo to Norway for pursuing Mobile Television utilising Europe's Eureka 147 Based T-DMB standard. The commercial and technical advantages available by this endeavour will be great and apprecited by Viewers, Infrastructure and content providers alike.

The richness of the user experience - taking into account the stability of the Vision sinal, the number and quality of the Digital radio Channels able to be included in transmissions and the variety and usefulness of the Data Services associated with it he associated with - will clearly diferentiate it fromthe alternative methods available for delivering mobile TV.

The fact that in common with other Eureka 147 based systems, the Norweigan Mobile TV system can be simply rolled out onto or along side existing DAB (Digital Radio) infrastructure is a huge boon to all concerned - as Noirway is now finding out.

All MIDs should optionally support cell phone calls, SMS/MMS, LBS, etc. (i.e. basic smartphone functionality). If Dell's MID is running Android, it would only need the corresponding hardware to enable this functionality. This would make Dell's MID even more attractive to mobile operators, since the operators would be able to generate revenue from phone calls, SMS/MMS, etc., in addition to basic data contracts.

Yes, Merger of Intel and Nokia is beneficial for all mobile devices and mobile users. Because Nokia is the largest mobile selling company and Intel is the best
semiconductor manufacturing company. This merger will offers the new ideas in the mobile market and new cheap and best mobile devices will launched. As I think.

FIRST AND FOREMOST I ABSOLUTELY LOVVEEEE NOKIA PRODUCTS!
THATS THE ONLY PHONES I HAVE EVER HAD!

BUT

if nokia can't seem to come up with a more reasonable price for their N97 I'm afraid it will be totally outshined by the new techonology other phones have to offer at a cheaper price cuz $699 is a bit much too just sacrifice on a phone!

I would have no problem at all whatsoever paying a cheaper price and signing a 2 year contract and I'm sure that a whole lot of other ppl wouldn't mind either cuz I know ppl now that wish they had an upgrade so they could get other products like the iphone 3GS, and I also think the phone would be alot more successful in sales!

So i will keep checking everyday to see if their are any changes in prices until the iphone officialy hits the stores, but if it doesn't change then I'm afraid I'm going to have to use my upgrade on the iphone 3GS!

A verry valued nokia customer,
